HERE'S AN UPDATE : The new Centrodyne S700 meter has a built-in feature which allows it to retain in memory the complete data for the last 250 trips. It's the same information that you would have on receipts if you had printed them out. Miles, money, trip number, dates times all held in a memory chip!! That means that with a connected printer, you can actually print out all the receipts for the last 250 trips, even if you DIDN'T print them out or have a printer at the time of the ride. This will substantially increase the information you can give the police if they are investigating a crime involving your Taxi! (The 251st trip will overwrite the first so 250 is the number.) This is a leap forward! and get this:
All the add-on equipment you could want ... printer, communications, more ... plug right into the mounting harness! This means no replacing the whole meter in order to add a printer or connect a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) later on. The meter has great features like increment and decrement controls on programming. If you make a mistake, its easy to un-do it! Centrodyne, top meter manufacturer, has outdone itself with this new model. Yes, the old familiar C610 and C620 meters are still available, but once you try this new model, you'll be hooked! It also handles up to 16 rates, each independent of the others! The printer has up to 4 lines at the top and up to four lines at the bottom which print on the receipt: Line 1 = Cab Co name, Line 2 = published telephone number, Line 3 & 4 for whatever you want, such as address or a slogan. Then at the bottom of the receipt, up to 4 additional lines for a slogan, "Thank You For Not Smoking" and things like that, or Thank You and Call Again. [ Each of the 8 lines has exactly 24 characters including spaces, hyphens, commas etc. For instance, This phone number (123) 456-7890 has 14 digits, so we center it with 5 spaces at the front and five more at the back.
