The printer will need two lines of text - maybe your company name - and phone number. These will go at the top of the receipt. Each line has 24 characters including spaces and marks like periods and hyphens.
The printer will also need two lines at the bottom of the receipt, with things like slogans or "Thank you! Call again" - maybe your 800-phone number.
The meter will need your rate(s) information: 1) Flag Drop $$,.. 2) Rate per Mile $$, .. 3) incremental amount (such as 25cents per eighth mile), ..4) Waiting time per hour or minute, .. 5) Extras amount if used.
