Here is what you will need to outfit your first taxi for starting your business:

1) A TAXI METER; This is your money producer. Buy a new meter which has factory warranty, free programming of your fare charges, new cables and mounts. Dependable and guaranteed. 2) A BASIC TOPLIGHT; For recognition that you ARE a taxicab. We recommend a permanently mounted type, not a magnetic, but you may choose either. Screwbase types are safer and longer lasting, They look more professional. FTC11 or FKW03MC toplights included. (Other toplights can be substituted but prices will vary. Call 760-345-4347.) |

3) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS; If you can operate this computer, or change your oil, you can install and calibrate your own meter. You could also hire a sound shop, two-way radio dealer, or your mechanic to do it for you with these instructions for your EXACT make, model and year vehicle! You also get programming and calibration directions! |

How do I order this start-up package ? : You can select one of two toplights: the standard FTC11 Toplight in screwbase, or a smaller magnetic base toplight FKW03MC with cigarette lighter cable. The prices remain the same. You can select one of three meters, NOTE: the last (S700) will be available for shipping by Fall 2011. See elsewhere on this website for meter and toplight features and details. Please carefully type your TEXT for the toplight - the exact lettering you want. Add, in the same box, your telephone number for us to call and clarify - we want to get it right the first time!! Be sure to give us the exact make model and year of vehicle for the instruction package. If you want us to pre-program your meter, you MUST E-MAIL us your rates, including Flag Drop (turn on fee), Mileage Rate and fractions, Waiting time amount (per minute or per hour), and Extras amount if you plan to use extras. If you don't give us your rates, we ship "generic' and you can program the meter yourself with the instructions provided in your package. It's easier if WE do it for you (no additional charge).
